Neutralizing water pH without relying on expensive CO₂

The situation: An industrial plant was using a combination of boiler stack gas and expensive carbon dioxide to lower the pH of its recycled water. We identified a more reliable, lower-cost path to the same result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions, straight answers

What types of facilities do you work with?

Industrial water and wastewater systems — including oil & gas, pulp & paper, food & beverage, chemical, manufacturing, logistics, petroleum refining, metal plating & finishing, steel manufacturing, carpet manufacturing, inks/dyes & coatings, paint manufacturing, adhesives, and kaolin clay processing facilities. Most of our clients are small to mid-size operations without a dedicated water and wastewater specialist on staff. If your plant treats water, we can help.

Do you work alongside our existing engineering firm?

Yes. Companies often bring us in to work alongside their consulting or design-build firm — reviewing recommendations, providing oversight, and protecting the owner’s interests throughout the project. We also periodically join larger engineering teams as the water and wastewater process specialist.

Can you help troubleshoot and optimize an existing treatment system?

Yes — this is one of the most common reasons clients call. Whether compliance or production is on the line or the system just isn’t performing the way it should, we work through the mechanical, biological, chemical, and human factors together to stabilize the situation and tune the process for reliable long-term performance.

Can you help in a compliance emergency?

Yes — we will evaluate the situation with you, examine potential emergency responses while investigating the root causes for the non-compliance. We can also recommend interim actions to achieve compliance while determining options for operating and physical changes to resolve the issues.

Do you offer operator training?

Yes — and it’s never off-the-shelf. Every training program is custom-designed for the client: we start by defining your specific process and what needs to be optimized, then build the operator training to match your facility, your system, and your staff.

Where are you based and do you travel?

We’re based in the Atlanta, Georgia area and work with clients across the United States — most work is handled directly from our office. John holds P.E. licenses in four southeastern states for engineering design work, and provides consulting support to facilities in all states.
